The airport is owned by the Bi-State Development Agency and is located less than 3 miles from the Gateway Arch Riverfront. Airport services include two full-service 24-hour fixed-base operators, an instrument landing system, an FAA air traffic control tower, and its’ own dedicated Index B aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) service.
Controlco was contracted by the FAA to perform a BAS upgrade to a legacy Johnson Controls supervisory controller. The FAA required a cost effective supervisory controller utilizing the latest web browser functionality, but still maintain continued use of the on-line unitary controllers. The JCI Facility Explorer FX controller was selected. Controlco performed a database migration into the new controller concurrently with the legacy controller remaining in service. There was no loss of functionality to the end user and the FAA’s ability to monitor/control their HVAC systems remained intact.
