This project consisted of installing a new web based Direct Digital Control system. The existing mechanical system included four air handling / energy recovery units which were served by a ground source loop water system. Individual zone temperature control was achieved through eleven heat pumps (Honeywell) and twenty one underfloor air terminals (York). The original control system utilized LON based controllers incorporating a proprietary graphical user interface. Controlco retrofitted the controllers with Distech LON controllers which allowed the reuse of field devices. A Johnson Controls Facility Explorer Supervisory Controller provided a seamless integration of LON communications between the Distech, Honeywell and York LON controllers. The Supervisory Controller is accessed through the owner’s Local Area Network (LAN).
